I’m not always in the limelight—I also invest in creative projects and enjoy the behind-the-scenes work necessary to launch them and help them grow.
The joy of producing comes from being able to bring an idea to life and then watch it flourish. I do all my production through my creative services and consulting company, Genki Media LLC. Here are some ongoing projects and production highlights:

Project: Deep Creek
Podcast Format: 8 scripted episodes (2 bonus episodes)
Length: 25-35 minutes
Genre: Thriller/History
Backstory: In 2021, film producer Ari Pinchot from Crystal City Entertainment approached Genki Media with an offer to co-produce one of their one going film and television projects. After reviewing the list of potential projects in pre-production, we decided to jump into Deep Creek, based on the real life story of the CIA’s secretive MKUltra project, experimenting with LSD in the 1950s. Over the past years, the project has continued to evolve, gaining representation from United Talent Agency and turned from a serial TV drama into a serial podcast. The series is still in production and set to be released by early 2025.
Synopsis: On the surface, “Deep Creek” is a bizarre psychological thriller rooted in a dark chapter of American CIA history. Thematically, the story is much deeper. At its core, it is a story about the loss of innocence. It is a story about Frank Olson, the patriarch of a model American family during the country’s geopolitical zenith. By the 1950s, America had freed Europe, American industry had produced the automobile, and American creativity had given the world Hollywood. America was the good guy. But what the CIA’s secretive MK-Ultra mind control operation did to Olson and countless others shattered that carefully crafted American ideal. MK-Ultra didn’t just destroy a quintessential American nuclear family, it broke the trust of its people while inadvertently ushering in an era of psychedelics and the counter cultural revolution of the 1960s. This is the story of how it happened.

Project: Kaleidoscopes
Format: Full length screenplay, action thriller
I penned the feature length action thriller film, “Kaleidoscopes,” which was selected as one of 6 screenplays to appear on MTV Asia’s reality show, The Pitch.
Project: Washington Life Television
Format: Serialized 5 to 30 min social and entertainment coverage for TV and digital
Synopsis:
I was a pioneer in recognizing and harnessing the potential of social coverage in the Washington DC area with the launch of Washington Life Television (WLTV). This initiative began during the 2008 inauguration, marking a shift from traditional political coverage to a broader focus on Washington D.C.’s dynamic social, fashion, arts, and celebrity scenes. Under his executive production, WLTV created over 120 short-form videos, capturing the city’s vibrant culture, including Washington Social Year in Review shown on The CW.
My role, as a well-connected Washington insider, enabled WLTV to access and document some of the city’s most exclusive events, ranging from high-profile galas to significant cultural happenings. This expertise also extended to consulting with various production companies on broadcast television segments.
Project: A Modern Day Cash Crop
Format: 30 minute documentary film
Synopsis:
A notable achievement in my career is the co-production, writing, and directing of the 27-minute documentary, “A Modern Day Cash Crop.” This film delves into the interplay of corporate sponsorship and artistic expression, explored through the Crop Over Festival in Barbados. Shot on 35MM and later converted to digital, this documentary was trimmed to a concise 30-minute version and generously donated to the Smithsonian Institute’s Human Studies Film Archive in 1995. It also featured in the AFI’s Caribbean Film Festival.
Project: Stairotypes
Format: 10 minute, Short film
In Hong Kong, I co-produced, wrote, directed and starred in the short film “Stairotypes,” further showcasing the company’s diverse and international scope in media production. The experimental film shot by Tracy Peterson and starring Clements, Digger Mesch, Carl Ng, James Marsh, and Anghaurd James, followed an expat attempting to escape his shadow and stereotypes. It was shot completely on Hong Kong’s many staircases.
Project: The Picnic Theater Company
I am a founding member of The Picnic Theater Company, a site specific company dedicated to performing classic theater pieces in historical locations helping break the fourth wall. All proceeds go to charity. Genki Media helped launch PTC in 2010 and helped produce its first 3 productions.
